The Gran Fondo King is an annual cycling event that will kick off in 2024 and continue for many years to come. The event is meant to showcase the beauty of King Township as a cycling destination and raise the profile of businesses throughout the area that are contributing to economic prosperity and vitality for residents.

Lunch gala will be held following the ride
Event details include:
Organized by the King Chamber of Commerce
Will include 100-200 riders and opportunities for non-riders to participate as well
Includes two routes for different skill/experience levels, each with rest stops along the way
Each route will encompass exposure to the most well-known towns/villages, such as King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg

Road bikes are highly recommended as routes are on road surfaces.

Ride is lightly supported – please make yourselves self-reliant, as it's always best. Pack tubes, pump, water and food! Even though we will have a mid-ride sponsored fuel stop

Spark Nutrition will be provided, but come prepared with your own fuel and hydration

The Highway Traffic Act applies. The roads are not closed. You are expected to follow all traffic laws. Safety First! Always be alert of others using any roads or trails.

This premier cycling event will be completely overseen by B1 Gruppo, a leading Cycling Club with international brand recognition. Principal Vito Barbera has decades of experience in the cycling world, first as a pro racer and later as the President of B1 Gruppo. B1 is a premier club that is a fixture in the King and Vaughan cycling communities. B1 are seasoned experts in putting on large cycling events, having managed high-profile events annually, such as the Luce Ride, Cucinetta Ride, and others. B1 is excited to add the Gran Fondo King to its portfolio. The King Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to have them on board and confident they will put on a first-class event.
